The Ðïñgo who turned rat
Tell us a little about yourself!?
- I´m a single man at 34 years of age, and my nick is Ðïñgo. My home town is Bergen (West in Norway).
I work for my self selling tailor made clothes from Asia in Norway
Tell us your specs!?
- Amd XP 2500+, 1024 DDR ram, Asus gf4-4800 ti, 15" monitor.
My connection is cabel (1024/256)
Why are you called Ðïñgo and is there a specific story behind it?
- I think I started to use my nick Ðïñgo six years ago. And I don´t remember why.
How long have you played Delta Force, and tell us how it started?
- I´ve played since DF1 came out (1998). I was introduced to the game thru some working colleauges when i was in the Norwegian Navy.
When and why did you join D.S.R?
- Last year I lost my interest in DF when I was playing in OAP. After a while without playing, Perrin asked me if I were interested in playing for DSR. I thought to myself why not, maybe I would get my DF spirit back. So I joined DSR last summer. I certainly got my DF spirit back, and I have never regreted my decision.
Some say you have a cunning ability to know where your enemy is?
- I've spent 9 years working as a sonar officer in a Norwegian submarine, and 3 years in the NATO forces, tracking down Russian submarins and other warships with my ears. This has given me the ability to make a "picture" in my head. What direction people are shooting from, and sometimes also range. It´s good that I learned some things when i was in the Navy.
What is your current role at D.S.R?
- At the moment I´m in the DF admin, where I´m trying to help wherever I´m needed.
What is your speciality in gameplay?
- To take as many PSP's as possible, hold them, and then create chaos. My weapon is m60 and my backpack says gunner.
What is your favourite D.S.R moment?
- Despite my fairly short time inn DSR, I have gotten many great moments with this squad. But i think the Lan-parties are my favourites (so far)
What would you say are D.S.R strengths and weaknesses as a squad?
- Our strenght is that we have so many good players. And we work as a team all the way, with excellent tactic.
Weaknesses??? Still other squads have to prove that we have one.
D.S.R have played loads of teams up thru the years. What is your most memorable game? And what team do you always enjoy playing?
- That must be V1A. We beat them in TDM and they beat us in TKOTH. No whining, and always a lot of fun.
Do you have a nemesis out there? a special player whom you always have great fights with?
- Me and Alucard have played against each other for some years now on a daily basis. We know each other playing style so well. So when i play against him it´s damn hard to move around the map. Because he knows exactly where I go and vice versa.
How are D.S.R doing in the current tournaments and leagues?
- We are at the moment on top of the charts in 2 of the 3 leagues we're playing in, and third in the last one. We are now joining more leagues and hopefully we will do the same there(nr1)
Do you have any specific things you want to achieve with D.S.R?
- Yes....I want DSR to win more TKOTH matches.
In all aspects of life we choose rolemodels, people or players one can learn from. Tell us about yours!
- Perrin is the man.... He tought me everything I know about LW. And in BHD he is the champ.

If you had all the DF-community listening, what would you say to them?
- If people don´t stop whining in BHD, they're gonna ruin the game. Some players can only write omg...wtf...hmmm on T chat when they play.
Take this scenario: you are behind a enemy and are shooting him in the back....he turns around and kills you. Then you think hmm...
2 minutes later someone shoots you in the back...you turn around and kill him at once. Then it´s skills??? I thought like that in the beginning when I started playing BHD. But now when I have played this game for a while, I understand that it goes both ways. Notice that the biggest whiners uses 40-60 bullets for every kill. Because they spray and spray when they are shooting. And they have no idea about aiming technics. My final comment is...Lets play and have fun!
